On my way

 People with the least common-sense should observe the abnormal phenomena in contemporary china. Ranging from economy to the social atmosphere, the whole society seemly is confronted with innumerable problems. Superficially, it seems to be a so-called period of the developing process, however, since every body attempt to neglect those problems within the certain phase of development while concentrating all their attention to their individual things, the negative influence existing in the period is exaggerated dramatically.

    For people’s ethic, its condition has been growing increasingly worse ,in spite of the fact that most of us are still ignorant of the deadlock we are in. Actually, no other societies had the habit and tradition of public emphasis on ethic as conspicuous as ancient China. Even two decades ago , great ethic was still regarded as a consequential merit every Chinese should have. Coincident with the completive implementation of policy of opening up and reform has been the great loss in the attention to publicize improvement of our ethic. As result, the dramatically rapid growth are not synchronized with the development of social ethic construction. No wonder see how many immoral things happened in China. It goes without saying that most people ,especially people working in administration ,seemly advocate that the most critical goal in their life is contribution to society , yet , their ambition to make money and get power are so obvious that we can not help but asking whether their slogans are real? As matter of the fact, ordinary persons have gotten used to the stories or scandal that some people earn much money by cheating or doing some immoral things. What’s worse, everyone who gets the stories like what I have mentioned above feels that it has nothing to do with him\her, or even think it is nothing weird. Not only does the development of economy and technology bring about the improvement of people living condition, but it disseminates the attitude of money centered and pursuit of luxury life as well. Admittedly, Chinese government should shoulder the responsibility for our country and for itself ,for the simple reason that the great loss at public mortality can cause the catastrophic aftermath for Chinese society as well as  undermine the government’ control and authority.

       In terms of Chinese domestic economy experts and governors seemly are not able to find some effective countermeasures to oppress the restrain the existing inflation from getting seriously. Along with the dramatic increase in price of housing, much attention had been placed on the real estate. In spite of the fact that people around the world are facing the housing problem , yet the severe effect the housing problem given rise to in China is more complicated. Compared with the general salary in China, the price of an apartment is out of the balance. For instance, if a ordinary professor lived by his basic salary attempt to buy a decent apartment in ShangHai, he have to spend almost 20 years to pay it off. However, nobody can make promise or prediction that the price will be in control within a certain time. It is by no means to say that the methods implemented for this problem by our government is neither rhyme no reason, nevertheless, the undeniable deficiencies within those solutions impair the assumed function obviously. Actually , real estate is just a part of the whole Chinese economic situation. No matter how the government explain it , there is no other ones better than ordinary persons who can make real comments about their feeling and their living condition. It is not easy to ignore the thoughts from civilians , it is more difficult to face them. People is not entitled to ponder the problems in the long term, they just attach much importance to their daily life, to how to survive with the fast pace of rise in price. Anyone can say we are undergoing a massive social transition , and the current statue is no thing but temporary ,but key is how long the temporary period is , what we should do in overcoming this hard time ?

 It goes without saying that people actually is living in the contradictory life, yet for Scales people ,it is more conspicuous and far-reaching than other guys whose constellations are not Scales. To be frank , I used to deny the theory that people’s personalities directly linked with the constellation he belonged to. Nevertheless, after pondering my lifestyle on many occasions , I reach the opinion that mostly people’s decision making and choice have visible connection to their personalities in correspondence with their constellations.

  In spite of the fact that I don’t mean to advocate the relationship between my life and the my constellations, the cues and clues has been increasingly prove the potential link. Currently , I was informed again to attend to my cousin’s wedding ceremony. In this case, my Scales personality made things mass up. Two month before, my cousin expressed his hope that I should show up in his wedding ceremony. I told him I would be like to be there , but I was going to study in Suzhou university soon, I was not sure if I can come back in time. Meanwhile , my parents thought there was nothing more predominant than finishing my education. Their points of view was that I should be in school ,it was funny little bit , because they always had different attitudes and opinions on lots of things, but on the occasion, they had same thought . as matter of fact, the greatest single difficult was that the remote distance would undermine the trip back, and eventually affect my schedule of the new semester. Now , it is approaching the big day for my cousin, I got his calling yesterday. He told me about his expectation again.

  Admittedly it is a simple case , but my mind made it complicated. My Scales individualities performed obvious functions in the process of decision making. As a proverb goes, grape all, loss all. On the one hand, coincident with my cousin’s several invitations has been my increasingly intensive feeling to satisfy him, on the other hand, I have to take my parents suggestion into consideration. Because it would be an expansive trip, because I don’t have any income , I have no alternative but to ask my parents to pay for that. Although my cousin promised he would pay for money for aero plane , I knew it was something impossible.

  For now , it is not a big deal for the final result. With the affect and the influence the my constellation exerts on my life , I wonder if my destiny had been decided by my Scales?There is no any scientific suppose exploring the relation between the star and people .what existed in the world about it is nothing about some fairy tales. However, when contemplating what has happened , we can not help but to acknowledge the truth. Seeing is believing.   

Coincident with the accelerating step of globalization has been increasingly widespread consciousness of importance to magnify the Chinese own culture. Admittedly, over past decade , the dilemma of the confliction between the Chinese domestic culture and the west culture has been making lots of  experts and scholars headache. Frankly, before reading some books with respect to Chinese archaic philosophy , I had no clue on how preeminent our ancestors’ thoughts and attitudes are. It was a impossible task to make any comment to our traditional philosophy without acquaintance with those great Chinese philosophers and their primitive and intelligent points of view toward the society, universe ,and human being.   In the article, I just attempt to talk about my premature views on Chinese archaic philosophy. It goes without saying that my viewpoints will be stimulated to mature along with concerning books I will read , yet , to record my first step is undoubtedly significant for me .

  When talking about Chinese great philosophers and primitive philosophic thoughts, Confucius and his thoughts would be the most impressive. Actually, no single man brought about more widespread and permanent influence on Chinese national development of philosophy than Confucius. Even through the whole world, Confucius are still attached much importance and emphasis. His masterpiece “the Analects of Confucius” has been exerting the profound affect to Chinese society for thousands years. When pondering some social issues and personal attributes in China on many occasion, we can find his affect perform deep functions in different ways. Thus, what are the most permanent affect he bring about ? I would like to explore the following most conspicuous ones.

  Firstly, nowhere around the world has the phenomenon of complicated relation as obvious as in china. Being mainly administrated by people not by laws, though the governors had done its utmost to alter this condition, is the by-products of Confucius’ theory. To illustrate, in our daily life, when a driver breach the travel rule, what he thinks at moment is by no means to cooperate with policeman and pay for the punishment, but is to find some of his friends who has any relation with the policeman. Perhaps it would be a big process to find a qualified guy to solve the problem, sometimes; it costs much money than paying for fee. In spite of the fact that this phenomenon trends to be blur because of the high tech applied in the streets ,yet nobody can deny how frequent it is. In some cases, the legal methods need a set of complicated and time consuming processes, so it is not hard to consider why people in china like to cope with some problems by taking advantage of the complex relations he has built. Nevertheless, the reason I mentioned above is just superficial, if we contemplate this by tracking to Confucius , we can have more comprehensive understanding. Confucian philosophy primarily was established on the basis of the temporal social construction by Confucius. In the antiquated China the clan was fundamental to structure society. A leader of country actually was a leader of clan, or we can say a big family. One of the Confucius crucial keys to connect the different social levels is consanguity through which the whole society can ran smoothly. In turn, the temporal social regulations were in correspondence with it. For example ,when choosing ministers ,the emperor should emphasize on the blood relation firstly.

Secondly, basic to understand and ponder on creature , society ,and human being is feasible and reasonable attitude. Hitherto, it is out of dispute that this kind of characteristics affects every corner of Chinese culture and society. Great philosophers from west prefer to analyze abstruse theory or hypothesis, so it is not difficult to know the reasons why so many abstract subjects of science came into being in western world. In China , there were not lots of different subjects, for the simple reason that we have the common tradition of thinking through which we obtained considerable gorgeous experiences to solve the real problems in life. Unfortunately, those primitive experiences were not synchronized with the development of science because of lack of analysis. As a result , to some extent , science plays a predominant role in the process of directing social practice and human behavior in west, by contrast , experiences do same thing in China. The dilemma is whether it is advisable to bolster one of both thinking habits without serious research. However, one thing is certain that it would be a headache challenge for Chinese to keep this antiquated trait when we are confronted with the new world with accelerating pace lifestyle and trend of globalization.

Thirdly, a still another visible trait of our archaic philosophy is middlebrow. In other words, the best way to face different challenge, to cope with the complicated social relation, or to adjust the opposite points of view is to find a balance. In spite of the fact that every culture has the same dialectic thought, like some of western countries’ proverbs, every bean has black, or every thing has two sides, yet there is no other country around the world like china in which this dialectic thought exert so far reaching influence on whole society. I attempt to take TOFEL test as an example to demonstrate what I mentioned above. In writing part if this test , there are lots of themes about to choose one opinion in the two conflicting views. When I met such subjects, it always made me confused. There was nothing to do with my writing ability , the disturbing thing is to choose the view to support. Superficially, every one does make sense , and has something not satisfied me , I would like choose the middle way to go. Perhaps , that is the invisible demonstration of our archaic philosophy traits. Actually after pondering what happens in our daily life on many occasion, we can observe interesting matters originated from this characteristic.  For instance Lack of creativity can be regarded as the by product of the trait.

  To sum up, what we got from our Chinese archaic philosophy has dual concepts, no matter how people comment it, no one can deny it is fantastic and great view and contribution not only to China but to the whole world as well. Any Chinese who has little common sense should be affected by it more or less. Besides absorbing and learning the accurate thought and philosophy from other countries, every Chinese should shoulder the sacrificed responsibility to protect and disseminate our Chinese archaic philosophy.
